Just subscribed to the cpd23 things.
Am already working on the ILM award in First Line Management, so hope that this cpd will compliment that.
Working part time (24.5 hours per week) can be a challenge, but the University term has ended so hope to have enough time for this and essay writing - you never know, I may even manage some reflection!

Thanks for joining in! I did the ILM award in first line management earlier this year, very useful and practical, hope you enjoy it.

Hi,
I know what you mean about finding the time to balance work, study & what's that other thing called - oh yeah trying to have a social life. I've finished my ILM course but I am now working on my Chartership portfolio while working part time. Any advice on how to manage it gratefully received.

I do a lot of planning and multi-tasking. The planning is vital to fit as much in as possible - trying to make 1 trip cover several jobs, having several tabs open at once, that sort of thing. However, several management gurus are now saying that multi-tasking can be pretty destructive, and it's not meant to be a health way of working either - there doesn't seem to be any 'right' answers :-/

Hi Rachel, looking forward to following your progress on the cpd23 course. It does sound like you've got a packed schedule - I feel exhausted just thinking about it!
